Jess and Brandan’s beautiful June wedding at The Jam Handy was truly one of a kind. As Detroit wedding planners, we get to experience many emotional ceremonies, but this one had nearly everyone in tears.

Jess began crying as she walked down the aisle, and when she locked eyes with Brandan, he was already crying too. Even Stephanie found herself tearing up as they took turns reading their vows—and she definitely was not alone!

The celebration was filled with details that felt completely like Jess and Brandan. Guests enjoyed an espresso truck throughout the evening, while endless rolls of black-and-white film captured every meaningful moment. One of our favorite details was their collection of thrifted wine glasses. Each glass was personally selected by the couple, and guests were invited to choose one to take home at the end of the night.

The Jam Handy was the perfect Detroit wedding venue for their day. Its historic architecture and industrial character created such a unique setting, especially for a couple who both live and work in the medical field in downtown Detroit. Celebrating in a city that is such an important part of their everyday lives made the wedding even more special.
